Gramawama and I would like to thank everyone for following and taking an interest in our blog and take this opportunity to write a few closing words for the summer. The first day of fall was yesterday and, while we absolutely love summer, our favorite recipes, crafts, and family events occur during the next few months. The chill in the air, golden leaves falling, and chance to get cozy and sew and bake…well, we just can’t wait!
A few recipes we’ll be sharing are ones our family has coveted for generations, such as Swedish beef pies, Grandma Rosquist’s Chili Sauce, whey popcorn balls, and so much more. Our shipment of over 50 lbs of apples comes in next week, so look forward to a whirlwind of both savory and sweet apple dishes. Gramawama and I also will be sharing our experiences with canning; grandma sharing her perspective on the differences between canning in the 50s and now, and I’ll write of the joy of passing the canning tradition on to a friend.
In the mean time, look for some posts on zesty salsa for canning, DIY chalkboard calender, and Death By Chocolate Cupcakes.
We’re so excited to share our love of fall with you!
