I saw a recipe for cranberry-apple-ginger ale punch on Pinterest and thought it could be elevated with a spiced simple syrup to make it taste more like the holidays. The punch is easy to make and is perfect to serve in big quantities for your festive craft party.
Base Punch Ingredients
1 gallon apple juice
1 gallon cranberry juice cocktail
2 liters ginger ale
Simple Syrup Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tbs ground clove
Thinly sliced orange (optional)
1. Simmer the simple syrup ingredients until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and let the syrup steep for one hour. Strain.
2. Mix all ingredients in a large punch bowl, or evenly distribute ingredients in pitchers. Add thinly sliced oranges, then ice.
Tip: Combine the juices, simple syrup, and orange slices ahead of time. Add the ginger ale and stir just before serving.
